To develop a declutching rotor system - a dynamic continuation of the torque sensor already used in our tourbillon watches - had long been a dream of mine.
The technical concept which in this case is applied to an automatic watch is closely linked to automotive mechanics.
The innovation we hoped to achieve was to combine the automatic clutching and declutching control of the winding system with the torque sensor, thus ensuring an ideal degree of spring tension for a perfect torque effort.
